Cell cycle
In this project we learned about the cell cycle. The cell cycle is the process of which the cell grows and divides. We drew pictures on Google Slides of what each phase looked like. There were six phases, Interphase, prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, and Daughter Cells. I learned what the phases looked like and their names.
H.I.V Simulation
Animal research |
For this simulation, we were given a cup of a clear substance. One of us had a chemical and the rest water. We had to mix our substances together with three other people. This symbolized having unprotected sex and spreading S.T.Is. I learned that S.T.Is spread quickly and how to prevent them.

The animal research was very interesting. Each table was given an animal to study. My group's animal was the keel-billed toucan. There were four sections to research: classification and general facts, adaptations, reproduction, and human interactions. I was in charge of reproduction. I learned a ton of interesting things about the keel-billed toucan. I really liked this assignment.
